School Dress Code

We will be enforcing our Dress Code this year. Make sure you are prepared for your child to dress according to our school dress code: Black/Khaki shorts/pants/skirts and Forest Green/White Polo Shirts. In our experience, some of the easiest and most affordable places to purchase these items of clothing are at Target, Old Navy or Walmart. If there isn't enough inventory in the store, purchasing them online is an easy option.

When buying shoes, jackets and sweatshirts, please NO red or blue. For more detailed information, please check our page 21 in our Parent Handbook.

Great places to purchase school uniforms: Target, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, JCPenney. If you cannot find your child's size in the store, try online.

First Day of School 18/19 School Year

The First Day of School is Wednesday, August 15th and is a MINIMUM DAY!

Parents, please join us for a Welcome Back Coffee Chat in the cafeteria at 8:45am.

2018/19 Incoming TK/K Students

Our Kindergarten classes are now full. If you are interested in having your child attend CCLA, you may come in and enroll him/her to add their name to the waiting list.

For all incoming TK and K students, here are two important upcoming dates:

1. Thursday, August 9th, 5pm: Kindergarten Commitment Ceremony – mandatory parent meeting. During this presentation, we will be explaining the academic expectations of our Dual Language Immersion program and share important information with you. We will also be able to answer any additional questions you may have about our school. We will be asking you to commit to our program for the next nine years! We’ll also serve popsicles to all of the new Kinder students, as well as take a picture of the Kinder class of 2018/19! This meeting will take place in the Comstock Library (where the other parent meetings were held).

2. Tuesday, August 14th, 9am: First Day of School Practice: We will post class lists; your child will meet his/her teacher and do a walk-through the classroom. They will also have time to play on the playground afterwards and meet new friends. Please have your child come dressed in his/her school uniform.

3. The First Day of School is Wednesday, August 15th. It is also a MINIMUM DAY.
