Valeria Garcia - Spanish Teacher

Valeria was born in Hayward CA but has lived in Mexico, Salinas Valley, and Central Valley. Four years ago she relocated to Sonoma County. She attended Sonoma State where she earned her Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
Maestra Garcia worked for California Mini-Corps Migrant Program for 3 years, tutoring low-income migrant students. Working with first-generation, low-income, and historically disadvantaged migrant students motivated her to pursue a career in teaching.
Valeria is married and has two dogs, Frida and Fiffy. She enjoys traveling, trying new foods, reading, spending time with family and her two dogs. Maestra Garcia is teaching 5th grade Spanish and is thrilled to be part of an amazing team!

Stephanie Cuccio Guinn - English teacher

Was born in Ojai but grew up in Northern California.  When she was 21 she went down to Mexico for a month and fell in love with the language and culture, so she decided to get her degree in Spanish. Soon after that Maestra Guinn decided to become a teacher.  She began her career in Single Immersion and has taught in a variety of bilingual settings before settling into Dual Immersion.  This will be her 27th year in teaching and she is excited to join CCLA!  She is a newlywed!  She also has a daughter and 3 new step-kids as well a a 1 year-old granddaughter.  She will be teaching 5th grade English and is looking forward to being part of the CCLA family!
