Valeria Garcia Buenrosto

Valeria Garcia Valeria GarciaBuenrosto was born in Hayward CA but has lived in Mexico, Salinas Valley, and Central Valley before locating to Sonoma County. She attended Sonoma State where she earned her Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Maestra Garcia worked for California Mini-Corps Migrant Program for 3 years, tutoring low-income migrant students. Working with first- generation, low-income, and historically disadvantaged migrant students motivated her to pursue a career in teaching. Maestra Garcia is married and has two dogs, Frida and Fiffy. She enjoys traveling, trying new foods, reading, spending time with family and her two dogs. Maestra Garcia is thrilled to continue to be a part of an amazing team.

Mariel Montesinos

Mariel Montesinos was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and migrated to California at the age of 5. She attended Healdsburg Unified schools and received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology and Native American Studies from the University of California, Davis. After working as an instructional aide, full inclusion aide, and substitute    teacher, she decided to pursue a Multiple Subjects teaching credential at Sonoma State University. She is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a dedicated educator who wants all students to be successful lifelong learners. She is passionate about teaching and is committed to creating a multicultural atmosphere that is both stimulating and encouraging to students. She has a personal passion for performing arts; she has been dancing Ballet Folklorico for over 20 years.
